    What is the "Freshman 15"; and, is it an urban legend?

    Theory that freshman students at college or university gain 15 pounds during their first year. This particular study suggests that freshman do gain weight during their first year but on average less than 5 pounds. There's really no way to know for sure because everyone is different.

    This is no urban legend since it is true in some cases.
