Are Raleigh bicycles from the 1960's valuable ?

Sales of Raleigh cycles in the UK alone in the 1960s were in the millions, as shown on the graph in the attached article, so they are unlikely to have any rarity value.

Depends on your definition of 'Valuable' really. But the Raleigh Chopper,one of the most iconic of bikes,was first patented in 1967 and sales began in 1969. If you have a Mark 11 (from the early '70's) in pristine condition,it could be worth £600 to £2,000 - or around $950 to $3,200.

I have a 1953 Raleigh racing bike and was told it was worth a few hundred pounds in the shop, although I changed the original leather saddle for a padded one for comfort which did reduce the value a little. I'm not planning on selling it for now unless someone makes an offer but would need to check around on places like Ebay to see similar values before confirming it. I'd expect fewer bikes from the 50s to be around although if looked after they can last much longer than that.
