The first two singles released by Apple were:

    Artist: The Beatles
    Title: Hey Jude / Revolution
Catalogue No.: R5722 (UK); 2276 (US)
Released: August 1968 (UK & US)

    Artist: Mary Hopkin
Title: Those Were the Days / Turn! Turn! Turn!
Catalogue No.: Apple 2 (UK); Apple 1801 (US)
Released: August 1968 (UK & US)

Both of them became Number One hits. "Hey Jude" reached Number One before "Those Were The Days".
