An actress who was married to a great Hollywood star at the time of her tragic death in the 1940s changed her name to the famous one she is remembered by after being inspired by the name of a pharmacy on Lexington and 65th Street in New York. What was the pharmacy called?

The actress must be Carole Lombard, wife of Clark Gable, who died in a plane crash in the Forties. I don't know the name of the pharmacy, but that is your starting point.

My first thought was Carole Lombard too. Who else could it be? What throws me is her being named for a pharmacy in New York. She was born Jane Peters, and changed her name to Lombard for family friends Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lombard. Only 2 actresses died in plane crashes in the 40's, her and Grace Moore, which is her given name.
