The Australian Capital Territory has the highest proportional representation by female parliamentarians (41.2%) of all Australian State Governments. If we exclude ACT as it is not a state but a territory, the answer is Queensland with 36% (as of April 2010).
It is highly likely there will be one less female State Premier by this time tomorrow,as Queensland's Anna Bligh and her Labor Party are expected to be trounced in today's State Election.
