During the life of Christ, Romans ruled Jerusalem; when had these Romans won control of the ancient city?

    Question #125535. Asked by star_gazer. (Mar 24 12 10:23 PM)

Herod the Great captured Jerusalem in 37 BC from the Hasmonean Kingdom. Herod ruled Judea as a client-king of Rome.

However, there was certainly significant Roman presence in Jerusalem during the 103-year Hasmonean rule.
