Why is that trilobed thing on a stalk inside an Easter Lily flower called?

Question #125665. Asked by serpa. (Apr 07 12 9:38 PM)

I think the answer is anther. That is the pollen-producing thing at the top of the stamens (male parts), which are stalks that look a lot like the carpel (female part) that they surround. -see http://www.factmonster.com/dk/science/encyclopedia/flowering-plants.html.

Thanks for the link. Looking at the diagram and an Easter Lily I believe the trilobed part is the carpel and the stalk is called a style. Thanks, sportsherald.
