Some teams are managed by the same manager more than once (e.g. Liverpool under Kenny Dalglish), but within the top four tiers of the English football league, what examples, if any, are there of clubs being promoted more than once under different spells of the same manager?

This question sent me on a random search of football clubs that came into my head. One example (and I guess there are more ) is that of Alan Ashman who managed Carlisle United during two spells - 1963-1967 and 1972-1975. Thanks Cornfield. I asked because Shrewsbury Town have just won promotion under Graham Turner having done so under his previous managerial stint with the Shrews back in 1979. Apr 29 12, 8:33 PM
