Germany
I answered Germany because I recently got this question in a trivia contest and Germany was the answer given. I had gotten it wrong - suggesting Holland.

The Pennsylvania Dutch are comprised of three groups, the Amish, the Mennonites and the Brethren. They all share the same values, but differ in dress, language and forms of worship. They also, all came from Switzerland. See www.padutchcountry.com/

My sincere apologizes Dreamer. I'm not one of those people who can dish it, but can't take it in. I freely admit when I am wrong, it is just one of the ways to learn something new. Which I think is a life long ongoing process. I believe it is very true that, the older you get, the less you realize you know. I figure by the time I die, I won't know a darn thing! Just like I knew everything when I was sixteen! However, in my own defense, the following is a mini quiz at the same site, and this is why I did not read everything a closely as I should have. The Amish of Lancaster County are descendents of: Dutch farmers, German emigrants, Deutsch monks, Swiss pacifists I chose Swiss pacifists and clicked Submit. This is what happened: Poll Results Q: 'The Amish of Lancaster County are descendents of:' Dutch farmers 23%, German emigrants 55%, Deutsch monks 2%, Swiss pacifists 20% Total Number of responses: 3480. Your response was correct! Again, my apologizes, we were both correct!
