The Encyclopaedia Britannica states that athlete Galina Zybina held Soviet records in the javelin, shot put and sport grenade. What exactly is a sport grenade in this context?

Sport grenades are used in paintball, and can contain either paint or smoke.

However, they weren't being used for sports in the 1950s/60s when this athlete was active so won't be the items referred to in this article...

Pretty much just hucking the grenade as far as you can.
The link below reports that after World War I, the hand grenade toss was briefly substituted for javelin on the U.S. interscholastic level, due to saftey & insurance concerns.

Though I can't find a Soviet link, the inference is there.

Ok,so what military shell, still in use today, takes its name from its resemblance to a fruit and I assume its not pineapple which is a grenade but isnt a grenade simply a hand thrown shell?

Name an athlete that has played professionally in more than one sport, then name the sports. Extra kudos if anyone can come up with a triple-sport athlete.

This bizarre sport found it's place in World Sport Championships for the first time in 2002. In 2003, Toronto held the next championships. Considering this sport has no equipment, and no apparatus, which mind-numbingly boring sport could this possibly be?
