cocomojoe - these are the only references to 'moon tickets' I could find. I seriously doubt that Pan Am could have actually offered or sold tickets. In 1968, MGM released it's Academy Award winning motion Picture, '2001; A Space Odyssey'. 'Light years ahead of it's time', it tells the story of the first commercial flight to the moon. On the side of the space ship were the words, 'Pan American' followed by the world-renowned Pan Am 'Blue Ball' logo. The crew wore either space suits or Pan Am Uniforms. To the public it seemed obvious that the first commercial flight to the moon would, of course, be flown by Pan American. In fact, over 92,000 people wrote to Pan Am to reserve space on any upcoming flight. http://www.panam2001.com/story.htm Now you can book a trip to space onboard an X-Prize craft launching 2004 - 2006. Novac Space Travel is giving you the chance to travel into space in conjunction with Cerulean Freight Forwarding Company http://www.thriftyspace.com (19th Entry in the X-Prize). When space trips start the main problem will be getting to the front of the queue (waiting lists will become enormous) book now to avoid disappointment. With prices starting from $50,000 we are far cheaper than anyone. http://www.novacspacetravel.com/home.htm also check out- http://www.thespacetravelcompany.co.uk/
