How many medals were handed out in the 2012 Summer Olympics?

You can't just multiply the number of events by three, either, because some sports give two bronzes, as a matter of course. There are also ties, as happened in the men's High Jump, where three bronzes were awarded. The term "handed out" in the question clearly indicates physical medals, not simply the sum of firsts, seconds and thirds in each event in each discipline. That does look like it is a comprehensive list, including team members.
