    Was the disappearance of Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt ever explained?

    		It was never fully explained but the leading theory is that he got into trouble whilst swimming and presumably drowned although his body was never recovered.
    Many other theories include faking his own death, suicide,UFO abduction and kidnaaping.

    Plenty of theories but never explained except for the police investigation concluding it was an accident.
