How many peanuts are in one snicker bar?

The web abounds with unscientific data!. For a 60g (2oz) ther is a published report of 27.
There are plenty of ways suggesting how this can be scientifically proven - wash the Snickers bar in hot water and what you will have left are just the peanuts. Of course this experiment is flawed as no-one will ever be able to complete this work without eating at least part of the bar and hence risking having a piece of a peanut.
This could be one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of the universe. Send it to Mythbusters!
