    According to themoviegrind.com Christian Bale lost 34% of his body weight for his role in "The Machinist".

    Matthew McConaughey's weight loss may not set a record--he's "only" lost around 1/4 of his body mass to play a character who has AIDS. But it certainly is dramatic.
