    The works of Archimedes. It was moldly and re-written on vellum as was the fashion. Evidently, a French family acquired the work and passed in on without knowing it's importance. Thanks for the question. Jinxgirl ;-)

    A complete Gutenberg Bible sold for $2 million at an auction held by Christie's in New York on April 7, 1978.
