    What is the origin of the carousel?

    It was created as a tournament type training game where a "rider" would try to spear a small ring outside the ride.

    Carousels date back to the (Middle Ages) in which it required a rider to gallop. A carrousel( from french word(carrousel) from italian word(carosello) or merry- go- round. Circular platforms with seats for riders. Seats are in the form of rows with wooden horses.
