    Why do Siamese cats have a kink near the end of their tails?

    Early Siamese cats that were imported from Thailand had a kink in their tails and this has been continued in the breed through to today.

    Adding to the above...please note that this has been considered a flaw in the breed and that breeders have worked to eliminate it. It is a less common trait today.
