National Geographic did a documentary on George Wegers. Why?

George Wegers is the President of the Bandidos, a (supposedly) outlaw motorcycle gang. Nat'l Geographic did a documentary on the gangs and the criminal investigations into them.

Great answer but George is no longer National President. He's alive and recovering from a stroke that occurred while riding, causing a violent crash that's taken awhile to recover from.

He did NOT have a stroke. That NEVER happened. They did a documentary on him because he was the international president of the Bandidos MC at the time of one of the biggest biker busts in US history. George was charged with RICO and the US government was trying to give him 20 years to life. However they knew the charges would not stick and he recieved a plea deal. He served 20 months which was basicly time served. The real question is why WOULDN'T they do a story on him and this case? Its a great example of how the police treat bikers who are club members and how a good man can beat the system when falsely accused.
