    As of yesterday, Pinnacles National Monument became the 59th National Parl in the States and the 9th in California.

    The Pinnacles National Park was created in 1908 by the then President, Theodore Roosevelt using the Antiquities Act of 1906.
    As of January 2013, it covers an area of over 26,000 acres.
