    Do chili peppers have the capacity and spiciness to cause harm to a person from eating one?

    Using that link, one can read under "Worrying" about the effects of eating one of the hottest peppers, the Infinity Chili. It looks like there is quite a lot of discomfort from eating one of these chilies, but there are no long-term effects.

    So, perhaps, n a grand scale, yes, chili peppers DO have the capacity to cause harm (you may even suffer from severe heartburn or even a heart attack from eating too much at once), but, in the long run, even the hottest of chilies produces no long term harm.
