Is Carter Pewterschmidt, Lois Griffin's father on 'Family Guy', based on Ted Turner?

    Question #128982. Asked by george48. (Jan 15 13 4:16 PM)

I can't say 'no' for a fact, but I'm fairly certain he isn't.

The only basis for my opinion is that Ted Turner features in several episodes including as a poker buddy of Carter's and several other well-known billionaires. If Carter was based on Ted, I doubt they would have have Ted as a separate character.

Not sure if that helps, but hope it does.
