    If honeybees are not native to North America, how were plants pollinated before they were introduced with colonization?

    Bees are not the only insects which can pollinate. Other insects include beetles and flies.

    North America has native bees. It is the European Homey bee that was imported to help pollinate imported crop plant species. Besides the bombadier bee fly cited below there are carpenter bees and bumble bees.
