What city has the highest population of poverty?

Question #129396. Asked by vidailla. (Feb 07 13 12:36 PM)

There are three ways to measure poverty
    1. % of people earning less than $1.25 per day
    2. % of people earning less than $2 per day
    3. % of people living below the poverty line

Using the fist two parameters, the results are the same. The poorest countries are Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia and Burundi respectively.
Using the third parameter, the poorest countries are Haiti, Equatorial Guinea and Zimbabwe respectively
There is no data for individual cities

When I look up population size of a city in the United States for example, I always get something like this: Population - City 519,145 - Urban 3,499,840 - Metro 5,376,285, yet I look up Sydney, population: 4,336,374 is only one figure which is city plus suburbs, or Moscow 10,509,000 only one figure, city plus suburbs. To get the actual population of a US city as per Wikipedia, which figure do I use to give me city plus suburbs?
