    Bright's disease is a historical classification of kidney diseases. Today Bright's disease is covered by acute or chronic nephritis. The term is no longer used, as diseases are now classified according to more fully understood causes.mechanisms

    Usually diagnosed by the presence of serum albumin (blood plasma protein) in the urine, and frequently co-morbidities are oedema and hypertension.

    Bright's disease, named for an English doctor Richard Bright, is a term no longer used but at one time described any number of kidney disorders.

    Absolutely...I agree with the authors above. A kidney disease associated with diabetes. Supposedly, Alexander III of Russia suffered from this malady.
