yes, and he was sentenced to four years:
Don King was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and after dropping out of Kent State University, he ran an illegal bookmaking operation. He was arrested and charged with the killing of two men in separate incidents. In the first incident King was accused of shooting Hillary Brown in the back and while he was attempting to rob one of King's gambling houses. The case was determined to be justifiable homicide. However. the second case led to a conviction of second degree murder and King was sentenced to four years for killing an employee named Sam Garrett, who owed him $600. Eventually King was able to secure a full pardon for his crimes. In 1974, King negotiated a then-record $10 million purse through an arrangement with the Zaire government for a heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. The fight was popularly known as "The Rumble in the Jungle". Outside of boxing, he also managed the Jackson's' 1984 Victory Tour.
