Why is a computer input device, the mouse, called a mouse?

    Question #129884. Asked by MyGirl2000. (Mar 08 13 9:10 PM)

Developed at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), the name came from the shape, and the cord, which was thought to look like the tail of a mouse. More trivia, the original, developed by Doug Englebart, was carved from a block of wood!
