    What company made the first set of golf clubs in the United States?

    		According to their website, the A.G. Spalding Co. was the first US manufacturer of golf clubs. However, many early players in the United States were immigrants from Scotland who brought their clubs with them. Many of these were manufactured by the several clubmakers at St. Andrews, Scotland. The very first US golfers all played with clubs brought with them from Europe.
