On a freeway there are safety dots and reflective wedges called Bott's Dots and Woody's Wedges. Who invented Woody's Wedges?

In New Zealand we call them 'Cats Eyes', but if you go to http://www.talkingroads.org/ll.html where they are called Life-Lites, it will explain who invented them. And it also explains where Bott's Dots came from.

I'm unable to find anything called a "Woody's Wedge" similar to the other items. What I am finding appears to be some kind of snowmobile stud. http://www.billynorman.com/snmbl-3.htm
