Depending on how accurate you wish to be, it can be argued that the Suez Canal links the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Suez. I was once penalised in a local quiz for not giving this as the answer.

All above are technically correct. The Red Sea has two branches, the western branch is called the Gulf of Suez into which the Suez canal opens. The eastern branch, up the other side of the Sinai peninsula is known as the Gulf of Aqaba (aka the Gulf of Eilat).
