I have found a review as follows:-

My favorite character was the red-headed Wat, a scrawny squire who can barely contain his anger and threatens to 'Fong you within an inch of your life... pain' I don't know what that means, but that's Ass-Kicking.

It would appear that there is no meaning to the word.

'Fong' is an actual word from old English, which directly translated means: 'to kick'. So when Wat says "I'll fong you" he is actually saying, "I'll kick you."
