If you want to go back into pre-Beatle history then Collin Hanton came first in the Quarrymen. Paul McCartney was second, playing drums in Johnny and the Moondogs. Tommy Moore played drums in the Silver Beatles and was replaced by Norman Chapman. Then Pete Best replaced Chapman, and the group renamed themselves the Beatles.

Paul also played drums if there was no other drummer available, and during the White Album sessions when Ringo walked out. 'Back in the USSR' is Paul on drums.

Lest we not forget Andy White who George Martin got to replace Pete Best before anybody alerted him that Ringo had joined the group. His one and only appearance on record was the single "Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You".
If you assume that The Beatles official name change came in 1961, which is widely accepted by fans, then Pete Best would have been the original drummer for "The Beatles".

During the period of time that they were The Silver Beetles, the drummers were Tommy Moore, Norman Chapman, and Pete Best.
Then as The Beatles, the drummers were Pete Best, then Ringo Starr, who was the previously drummer for Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. Andy White replaced Ringo for a few songs, and Jimmy Nicol filled in for Ringo when he couldn't make it.
Collin Hanton was the drummer for The Quarrymen, and the Paul McCartney was the drummer for Johnny and the Moondogs.
