Is it safe for people to eat commercial dog food or cat food?

I believe most of it is safe to eat in the sense that it's not actually poisonous or officially condemned as unfit for human consumption. After all, if we cat-lovers thought it wasn't fit for people, we wouldn't give it to our cats! But most people would probably find it unappetising. Oct 16 01, 4:48 AM
