Where can I find the book that Nostradamus wrote about the end of the world?

    Question #14236. Asked by mashezy420. (Oct 17 01 7:34 AM)

Nostradamus' is called 'Centuries' but it doesn't concern the end of the world, but numerous prophesies in verse which the reader may interpret in various ways.

Other, modern versions, based on his prophecies include: Prophecies for the Millenium by Bill Anderton, The Complete Prophecies of Nostradamus by Henry Roberts (the translated verses), Nostradamus 1 and 2 de Fontbrune (Pan), Nostradamus, The New Revelations - John Hogue (Element books), Nostradamus the Next 50 Years - Lemesurier (Piatkus books) and Nostradamus, Visions of the Future - J. Brennan (Thorsons).

Nostradamus wrote multilingual prophesies which, as has been said, can be interpreted in many ways. I found one that no-one else seems to have, a prophecy of the fall of the Shah of Iran. Of course, as always with these things, that was well after the date concerned. They are an incredible piece of work - and a lot of hard work to no apparent effect. I don't think anyone has yet managed to find one that was accurate in advance of the event. Possibly, the lack of firm dating is another key factor. All in all, a load of total cobblers - and not about the end of the world. (Source: study of the prophecies in the original and translation - possibly published by Pan.)

I have been trying to find this person's name online, but I cannot. I saw him in the Guinness Book of World Records. He was able to speak, write and read the most languages ever, like 100 or something, I can't remember, and he worked for the UN. Does anyone have a Guinness book and can find his name or show me a website? Thanks.

In the film 'The Village' a group of people live a 19th century lifestyle, with the younger generation not knowing of the existence of the modern age. A few years ago, I read a children's fiction book with a similar theme, except that 'the village' was a tourist attraction, and a girl escapes to find medicine for her mother. Can anyone help me find what book this was, and also say whether anywhere in the world people live purposely in the past, but not as a tourist attraction?
