What,if at all,is the record for reciting from memory 1000 digits of pi at speed?

Question #14702. Asked by Michael Poultney. (Nov 28 01 10:58 AM)

    Brainy Blonde

According to Guinness World Records, the greatest number of places which Pi has
been memorized is 4000, by Robert Paige Miller. A student at South Shore High
School in Brooklyn, he wrote the 4000 decimal places in a period of 7 hours on
April 21, 1976. He was only 15 at the time.
This is from an older edition, that information is not in the 2001 edition, so
it may be higher by now. Hope this helps.

Having broken the record for memory at 5050 on 29 March 1977 and found that the latest Guinness published record (1998 edition) is 42 195 by Hiroyuki Goto on 18 Feb 1995, I wonder if any website has details of any later improved now that Guinness no longer publish memory records in the book.

My question referred also specifically to the speed of recitiation of 1000
from memory for which my best performance is 2 mins 43.6 seconds.
