Everybody thinks that Albert Einstein's IQ was very high, but this is definitely not the case, his adult IQ was just above 160. He was definitely a genius, but this was not primarily due to his IQ, but his amazing level on transcendental thinking. Source:

The following is a cut and paste from a message board. Since I don't think they are very reliable sources, I didn't post it. Now that Roxanne has confirmed it with another site, I would consider it correct. Einstein's IQ was a little over 160, which is well in to the genius range but less than you would expect from some one like him, many people have scored much higher and never accomplished anything, much less something like the theory of relativity. I haven't read AE's IQ, but to give you a yardstick to compare, I've researched on how much we use of our brain. It is generally accepted that we use between 5 - 10% of our brain, and the comparisons I've seen are - if most use 5% of brain, AE used 8%, or if most use 10% of our brain AE used 15%.
