    Why is freezer food, which has thawed and been refrozen, not fit for consumption?

    		two possible reasons
    1. In the period between being defrosted and re-frozen,bacterial/fungal (EG salmonella) growth may have begun, on de-frosting again this will continue to grow.
    2. Many foods are freeze dried which does not affect the water content - re-freezing will cause the water content to become large ice chrystals which can affect the food.
