It is the cheetah.

On land, the cheetah is the undisputed champ of velocity. However, if aerial mobility is included, that title would shift to the elegant peregrine falcon. In a stoop, or dive, the peregrine has been clocked at speeds of over 180 miles per hour (290 in kilometers).

The result of this query depends on your definition of "land animal." Are you referring to animals who reside on land as opposed to water, or to animals who clock at speeds on land (in strides, or at a run, etc.)?
If the cheetah is the top dog (or cat), I believe these animals would precede, with top speed estimates:
2) Pronghorn antelope ~ 61 mph
3) Wildebeest ~ 50 mph
4) Lion ~ 50 mph
5) Thomson's gazelle ~ 50 mph
6) Quarter horse ~ 48 mph
7) Elk ~ 45 mph
8) Cape hunting dog ~ 45 mph
9) Coyote ~ 43 mph
10) Gray fox ~ 42 mph
