    I remember a song we used to sing in Girl Guides long ago which had the chorus "Down among the dead men, pow-wow." Can anyone help with words and tune?

    Does anyone remember who sang 'It Might Have Been' from the late fifties or early sixties? I think it was Joe London, but can't find anything on this person. The song started out, "The saddest words of tongue or pen, are these four words, it might have been."

    I have been trying to figure out who sings this song forever, but am having no luck. Here are some of the lyrics I know.
