This is the life story of Navin R. Johnson (Steve Martin), a down and out bum who claims to have had it all (wealth, power and a beautiful woman) once upon a time.
On the road, Navin came across his life-long companion, a dog far more intelligent than its owner (though named "Shithead" after some unfortunate miscommunication).
