Although Hawaii is the southernmost, Alaska is the northernmost, westernmost and, because of the dateline, easternmost as well!

In addition to being the only state that crosses into the Arctic Circle, the easternmost and westernmost state of the United States, Alaska crosses the International Dateline (and the dividing line between eastern and western hemispheres) in the Aleutian Islands.

Alaska boasts the northernmost (Point Barrow), the easternmost (Semisopochnoi Island in the Aleutians), and the westernmost (Little Diomede Island) points in the United States. This is possible because Alaska straddles the international dateline.

Quote from the link below:
However, for practical (and non-riddle) purposes, the easternmost state is Maine, the northernmost and westernmost is Alaska, and the southernmost is Hawaii.
If you're only considering the 48 contiguous (lower) states, the easternmost state is Maine, the northernmost is Minnesota (the Angle Inlet of northern Minnesota is north of the boundary between the U.S. and Canada and well north of any point in Maine, no matter how the maps looks), the westernmost state is Washington, and the southernmost state is Florida.
