Does anyone know what the world record is for the most doughnuts eaten in one hour?

    Question #16474. Asked by bgrace@xcaliber.com. (Feb 07 02 10:51 AM)

    Brainy Blonde

My first thought was Homer Simpson!
Guinness World Records no longer keep records for these kind of things, but an
older version says the following about doughnuts.
Hany Rizk from Melbourne, Australia ate 29 or 2lbs. 12 and a half oz. of doughnuts
in seven minutes and 16 seconds, on April 10, 1976.
That means on average he ate 1 doughnut in 0.25 seconds, or 15 per minute for a
    total of 900 per hour.
Personally, I think it is physically impossible for anyone to eat 900 doughnuts
in 1 hour, or 1 day for that matter, so I don't think you'll find an answer anywhere.

I have never criticised you Brainy Blonde, but I think your maths is in error. From the facts you give he eat one doughnut every 15 seconds, or four per minute.
