One of his AKAs in the punk era was Eddie Tenpole and he had a (Short lived) band called Tenpole Tudor. He did a bit of work with the Sex Pistols and, if they hadn't decided to retire to various monasteries, he was lined up to replace one J Rotten

Tenpole Tudor actually made no 1 in the UK charts, but my Guinness of Pop Music got so disgusting I had to sling it, so I can't confirm.
