could have been dimitrious loundras who competed for greece in the 1896 games at just 10 years of age in the now discontinued event of team parallel bars.Not sure if younger has been in winter games.

2planks, Found this, which means the Winter Olympics can be discarded. 'Old Enough: The youngest competitor ever in the Winter Olympics was British figure skater Cecilia Colledge, who was 11 years 74 days old when she competed in 1932. The youngest male competitor was East German figure skater Jan Hoffman, at 12 years 113 days, in 1988.' The 74 days must be important as Sonja Henie was 11 years old when she competed in 1924. According to the Guinness Book of the Olympics it is thought to be a young French boy who was plucked from the streets when one of the rowing teams needed a cox. Thought to be about 8 or 9 he disappeared after the race and his name is not recorded
