    WHAT's Product Placement?

    Question #17020. Asked by Hockey_gUrL. (Mar 08 02 11:17 PM)

    Jesse

I was just drinking a PEPSI when I read this question.
Therefore I just placed a product i.e Pepsi.
If a T.V show focuses on a drink, hair product, car etc.... that is a named brand.. that is product placement.

It also means where and what shelf it will be on in the supermarket. Ever
notice all those sugary cereals are at the eye level of a child and not an
adult? It's the same principle as having to walk to the furthest place in the
store to get some milk or a loaf of bread!!
Ignore the items displayed at the end of the rows as well. They tend to never be on sale, but placed to catch your eye.
    It's all marketing 101.
