Which poem ends with the line,'Else is he a man unkind' ?

Question #17031. Asked by Charlie Brown. (Mar 09 02 7:13 AM)

    McGruff

The poet is Nicholas Udall. I can't find the name of the poem, only a verse. Maybe this will help someone else find it.

About what affairs soever he go
He must show her all his mind
None of his counsel she may be kept fro
Else is he a man unkind

I can't identify the poem but Nicholas Udall was also known as Nicholas Uvedale so he may appear under the latter surname in some reference works. He did write a play called 'Ralph Roister Doister' but he also published a book of selections from Terence with English translations 'Flowers for Latin Speaking'. He also published a translation of the 'Apophthegmata' of Erasmus.
