I don't know how helpful this is but I have been told by various medical men that most deaths in hospital occur around 5 o'clock in the morning, give or take up to an hour either side. This certainly was the case with both of my parents.

Brainy Blonde says: From an article in a scientific publication called Frontiers. The scientists hypothesize that about four hours before dawn, PER and TIM have reached their maximum levels and signal the nucleus to stop making RNA. Near dawn, the proteins disintegrate and the cycle begins again, with the 'per' and 'tim' genes producing new RNA. See: http://www.nsf.gov/od/lpa/news/publicat/frontier/12-96/12bodycl.htm Not all people are the same. Above is what is considered usual in most people. For those that that do not fall into the usual category, such as myself, can be treated a variety of ways, depending on the severity. Treatment follows two strategies. Medications can be used to attempt to set the master clock, or behavioral approaches are used to 'disconnect the clock.' 'Moderate exercise (for example) at certain times of the day can shift circadian rhythms. Wed Mar 13 13:34:07 CST 2002 (Removed broken link, edited content - McG)
