    Can anyone tell me if it's true that the black comic actor Tommmy Davidson was raised by white parents....if so name a source?

    		Tommy Davidson's name shows up frequently on lists of famous foster-kids. Here is the bit of information that I've found repeated in several sources. I haven't been able to find a good, in-depth bio for him.

    'Davidson's mother was a Black civil rights activist in Mississippi. Unable to raise him herself, she gave him to a white friend, also a civil rights worker, who adopted him.'
