Does anyone know in which order the Academy Awards (Oscars) will be handed out?

At http://www3.oscars.org/74academyawards/index.html there is a list of all the nominees since it isn't arranged in alphabetical order it might be the presention order. From what I remember they usually present a few 'important', more known Oscars to catch the attention of the viewers then less known Oscars and again more known Oscars. Mar 18 02, 11:57 AM

They always open the show with the award for best supporting actress. Then all the other ones that many people really don't care about. They will usually throw best song in there somewhere along with best supporting actor and any special awards to keep your attention. It is in the last twenty minutes of the show when Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Movie are presented. The thing I hate about this, is when the people you really want to hear speak keep it fairly short for the most part since by then, you are usually in the fourth hour. Kudos for Julia Roberts for telling the conductor what to do with his wand last year!!!! Source: Haven't missed a show in about 35 years, and yes I always stay up for the end. Even here, in Nova Scotia when the end is usually close to 2:00 AM!! Mar 18 02, 12:21 PM
