    A man is in the Guinness Book of Records and makes a living by that record. One day he is distraught and shoots himself. The police find his body and a pile of sawdust and arrest the man who would have replaced him in the record books. Why?

    		I suggest that the man who was shot was in the Guinness Book of Records because he was the shortest man on earth. He walked with a stick, and his nearest rival ie the second shortest man on earth, sawed a bit off the end of the stick to make the first man think he was growing taller. This led to his suicide.
